It's nice to see these games be remembered, even if it is for what they really are: Really terrible games. I look back on some of these fan games fondly, having played some of them when I was pretty young myself, so it was fun to see your reactions to the games played. At the time, some of these were considered impressive within the community, because even simple things were really difficult. You take a fanbase that, especially in it's prime, was made up of mostly kids and teens, and you have them trying to use tools that were, at the time, not designed for gameplay like Sonic's, and they were trying to create what is a very complicated engine in it (Sonic's Momentum-based gameplay) You take all of this, and the amaturness of the designers, and you get some (at least by modern standards for fan games) pretty dang terrible games. (Neo Sonic Boom is a remake of a fangame called "Sonic Boom", Which Some regard as the first Sonic Fangame, which came out around 1995!) As for why most of them suck. Most of these games are also really old with the exception of Sonic Web_Access and Eggman Hates Furries, most of these games were made in the late 90's and the first half of the new millennium.
